Today is my dad’s birthday and we’re sending him a couple framed pictures of his grandkids wishing him a happy birthday. Happy birthday, Grandpa… we can’t wait to see you next year!

The day started with the bride having her hair and make up done at the salon.
I still am amazed by the details of henna she had on her hands and feet

First look at the make-up she had on (left). Putting on the bracelets (right) There were LOTS of them!

She also put on her dress at the salon. The dress were so heavy and a lot of pins were used

Still pinning the outer layer to the dress

First time they saw each other

Portraits time

Quiet moment with the beautiful bride, while waiting for the main event to begin.

The reception took place at the Sheraton (Overland Park)

The bride came in with her parents

I wonder what the bride’s dad said on this one

Not long after they were seated together at the stage, they exchanged wedding bands. This shot was taken after they had exchanged the rings. I though it was sweet that the groom held the bride’s hand right after that. In Asian culture, it’s not customary to kiss out in the public eye. So, instead of sealing it with a kiss, they held hands.

Walking to the cake table

The cake topper were a miniature of a bride and a groom.

Watching a slide show of pictures that were put together by the bride’s sister

At the end of the night, the bride’s father would give away his daughter to the groom. This is an emotional moment for the bride’s family.

The bride’s sister and mom watched the bride said a final goodbye to her dad in the car

I love this last shot of the bride’s father watching the bride and groom’s car rode away from him
